World first: the actual hitmen who killed Brett Kebble will play themselves in a new movie and earn R1 million
Posted by on Mar 5th, 2012

A movie about the death of mining tycoon Brett Kebble will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival and in a world first the actual hitmen will star as themselves and have been paid R1 million for their efforts.

Self-confessed killers, Mikey Schultz, Nigel McGurk and Fiazal Smith will play themselves in a new film about the killing of Brett Kebble. They were granted full immunity in exchange for testifying against Glen Agliotti.

That’s Mikey Schultz who is a professional boxer.

“In what will surely go down in the record books as the most bizarre cast of actors, three of South Africa’s most notorious guns-for-hire are playing themselves, for a R1 million price tag, in a new docu-drama about the killing of mining magnate Brett Kebble.”

“Self-confessed killers Mikey Schultz, Nigel McGurk and Fiazal “Kappie” Smith re-enact the controversial 2005 killing in the 100-minute production, set for release at cinemas nationwide in June, and which will compete for an award at film festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival. Producers Tony Miguel and Warren Batchelor, from InThaZone in Joburg, hailed the re-enactment of the murder by the actual murderers as a world-first” [Film]

I’m just gonna leave it at that hey. No funny chirps from me on this story.

Funny how soemone can kill some random person and get into a plea bargain and get away with it and then do a movie to look like a hero…..he should be in prison for at least 5 years! What a joke our justice system has become!

Quite disgusting that someone should profit from their criminal acts in this way – even with their indemnity – and what a travesty of justice that was!
