Jo’burg ad agency wins 2011 Cannes Lion Grand Prix Award

If you’re the ad business then you should know that winning any Cannes Lion Award is a big deal..bronze ,silver or gold. And scooping the Grand Prix in your category is as good as it gets. That’s exactly what Johannesburg based agency Net#work BBDO has done by winning a Grand Prix Radio Lion at the 2011 awards.

Mercedes-Benz Accident Avoidances Features campaign is the third time the SA agency has won a Grand Prix Lion.

Nicely done chaps.

Other major winner include PUMA claiming the Grand Prix Film Craft Lion for their After Hours Athlete campaign.

While the The Grand Prix Lion in the film category was won for the second time in a row by Dutch agency Wieden+Kennedy for their NIKE Football commercial.

Good stuff from the sports giants.

The Titanium and Intergrated Grand Prix award went to Droga5 and their JZ Decoded campaign. Brilliant i thought.

Those ad people are rather clever aren’t they.
