Africa’s premier advertising event, The Loerie Awards, has announced the finalists for 2010 and let me tell you..there are some gems this year.

There are way too many so i’m gonna be totally unbiased and feature only those who cracked a nod on Life is Savage.
First up we have the OUTDOOR ADVERTISING section, where Hyundai is up for an award for their Giant Blue Vuvuzela on the unfinished freeway in the foreshore area. Google search for those words and Life is Savage scooped the number 1 ranked entry.
In the TV & CINEMA COMMERCIALS category we have the Nando’s Wives commercial. A quick Google search for those words and our post shows up nicely in the number 3 spot.
Next we have the PRINT ADVERTISING – NEWSPAPER category and Kulula’s Unofficial National Carrier is up for an award. Google ranks our post 6th.

The AMBIENT MEDIA ADVERTISING category has the Brandhouse Drive Dry campaign as a finalist and if you google Evidence Bag Brandhouse we made it to 8th spot at Google, but only cause i called it a giant car condom.
Finally we nailed the DIGITAL – VIRAL category with the post we did about PUMA’s Love Equals Football advertising campaign. Type those words into Google and we come up first again. Also in this category is the Virgin Active Touch me on my studio viral campaign. We only managed to secure a 3rd best Google rank on that one.
Not too shabby hey..seems like we were on it..must have been the days when i was sober.
