Posted by on Jul 7th, 2010

Its that time of year again when the Spanish show the rest of the world what a bunch of retards they are.

2010pamplona

The San Fermin festival kicked off today with a party at main square in Pamplona. Yay..lets all celebrate cruelty to animals.

The first bull run is Wednesday at 8 a.m.

Will update with pics as soon as some asshole gets his sh*t deservedly pushed in by a bull.

UPDATE: first run, nobody got gored. Boooooo.

Close though.

Hey Savage, educate yourself. These are not Spanish retards. These are American, Aussie, English, Irish, and a few Spaniards, running with the bulls. Get out there on the course and start talking to people around you so you’ll know what you’re talking about. Otherwise, don’t comment, don’t speculate. It’s inaccurate reporting

I stand corrected steve..they are indeed not Spanish retards..just retards in Spain then.
I detect a defensive undertone in your comment… does that imply that you support the idea that bullfighting is a culturally important tradition and not cruelty to animals?
I’m all for the running part. It’s the killing part in the bullring later that clearly is the motive behind my animosity toward the people that condone it.

@Steve Sax, you say – “Get out there on the course and start talking to people around you so you’ll know what you’re talking about.” – which leads me to believe that firstly you have taken part in this archaic event and secondly (with the use of the word ‘course’) you treat it as a sport. I personally don’t find slaying innocent bulls comparable to a game of soccer but that’s just me. I would also stand by the original post that the Spanish are indeed the retards as while there may be other nationalities taking part in the ‘running of the bulls’ , it is the ‘brainchild’ of the Spanish who are also the ones hosting the slaughter and the only ones performing the slaughter. So good on you Savage for standing by your comments as we are all entitled to our opinions. That includes you Steve, you too are entitled to your own opinions and in my opinion should you go run with those bulls again then – espero que un toro que embiste en el culo..!

This( SAn Fermin) is the second biggest festival in the world. !!!. I totally respect opinion of others and I believe in freedom of choice. Take RIO out of the this, and I’d suggest to you that the Spanish culture and history appeal to many more than you care to admit to yourself. You have already acknowledged that you think the run in Pamplona is a chance for the bull to catch someone(fool?) (me?) however your leading picture comes from another city’s celebration of the bull. ?
