The 2009 Loerie Awards held in Cape Town over the weekend resulted in ad agency people taking over Long Street. Locals obliged by making the famous street even more colourful than it normally is.
The theme of this years event was Feed Your Ego and Long Street was designated the main street of the Loeries Village. Shop owners were invited to create a window display that would pay homage to the creative industry and it turns out that the winner was none other than Still Life, a little decor store thats been in Long Street for 13 years and is a favourite of locals and foreigners alike. The shop is the concept of owner Karen van Huyssteen, who has a keen eye for new trends and lifestyle products and brilliantly fuses traditional pieces with new designs.

Nice one. If you ever walk down Long Street go visit Still Life. Karen loves it when people come in for a chat.
