True inspiration..
Posted by on May 20th, 2009

I’ve always been interested in the adoration people bestow on sports stars.Their achievements are truly amazing and  admirable and when someone breaks a long standing record or does something  no one has done before, they deserve all the accolades they get.Lets not forget though that these are professional athletes who have dedicated their entire existence to a chosen sport. What i find even more incredible are the stories of remarkable achievements that are performed by regular people with disabilities or an obvious disadvantage.Such as this one.. Terry Fox..who ran a marathon everyday for 143 days for a total of 5373 km.Amazing in its own right..but Terry did it when he was 21 years old..with a prosthetic leg ..and golf ball sized tumours in both his lungs..true inspiration.
